Xi Beta History

It was, observed in early January 1999 that there was only one Latino fraternity on campus and one Latino student club. In an attempt to improve this by providing a choice for independent men who are interested in a Latino-based, non-exclusive Fraternal organization, the Founding line at Hofstra began their process, and on July 21st, 2000, the first Brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta at Hofstra University were born. They were Mauricio Oliveros, Joseph Romagnano, Enrique Diaz, Charlton Sanabria, Tirrell Moates and Mauricio Suarez.
