"If you are here then you more than likely have some sort of interest in Sigma Lambda Beta. More than likely you are an undergraduate male looking into Latino Based Fraternities or Multicultural Fraternities. Let me say that although we are a historically Latino Fraternity we not only have but boast a multi-cultural membership. Just look at the list of Brothers who have crossed at this chapter alone. They are from all ethnic backgrounds. The benefits of our beloved fraternity are more than what we can list below. But you are here on our site and you're unknowingly doing the first correct step in choosing a fraternity...RESEARCHING! I personally do not want anyone "rushing" into Greek life. I want it to be a knowledgeable decision that the individual thought out. Go ahead and view other Greeks on campus. Compare them with us. Look at our national page as well as theirs. Above all, make an EDUCATED decision on Greek life. If you have any questions of me or any of my Fraternity Brothers just ask. You will find that we are very approachable."

Membership in this Fraternity shall be limited to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign men with a 12 Credit Hour minimum and a 2.50 minimum G.P.A.

They shall be eligible for membership in this fraternity upon meeting such other requirements and qualifications as the By-Laws of the Fraternity may require, except that membership or non-membership in a particular race, or belonging to a particular religion or being of a particular national origin shall not be a requirement for membership in this Fraternity. A person who is, or has been a member of another intercollegiate social fraternity other than an honorary or professional fraternity, is ineligible for membership in this Fraternity.

Sigma Lambda Beta and all of its affiliated Chapters, Colonies, and Interest Groups strictly adhere to and promote a policy of non-hazing while educating new members.
